About the Company

Patient, hands-on ownership since 2021.

Carolina Enterprises was formed in 2021 in the Carolinas and is now headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with interests spanning the United States, the United Kingdom, and beyond. It was built as a holding company for a founder who had already spent a career doing difficult work well, and wanted a single structure to own, fund, and grow the ventures that came out of it.

We are not a fund, and we are not a fee-for-service firm. We are an operating owner. Our portfolio spans media production and content, motorsports, and a training and consulting practice that brings decades of emergency-services and executive-protection leadership to corporate rooms, keynote stages, and team-building programs. Each interest is held for the long term and managed with the same discipline: know the work, back the people, and protect the reputation.

Leadership

Wayne D. Burdette Jr.

Founder & President

Wayne founded Carolina Enterprises after a 30-year career in fire, EMS, tactical medicine, and executive protection, and has since built a portfolio spanning media production, motorsports, and professional training.

An award-winning producer and cinematographer with more than forty screen credits, Wayne is also a former paramedic and TECC instructor, former faculty for Emory University and the American Heart Association, and a PADI dive instructor. He speaks regularly to corporate audiences on leadership, decision-making under pressure, and building teams that hold together when it counts.
